On the morning of May 20, 2025, Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural Resources and Environment, in collaboration with the ASEAN Vietnam Hydrogen Club, successfully organized the seminar titled “Advanced Solar Energy Systems and Hydrogen Production, Storage, and Applications.”
The seminar brought together experts, policymakers, and industry leaders to promote Vietnam’s transition toward clean energy.
Participants included:
- Assoc. Prof. Huynh Quyen, President of the University
- Assoc. Prof. Le Hoang Nghiem, Vice President
- Mr. Le Ngoc Anh Minh, Chairman of the ASEAN Vietnam Hydrogen Club
Along with invited guests and speakers who delivered technical presentations.

The seminar focused on four key topics:
- Next-generation solar energy technology: Presentation of perovskite solar cells for efficient hydrogen production and energy storage, addressing Vietnam’s renewable energy potential.
- Sustainable hydrogen production: Exploration of hydrogen generation methods from greenhouse gases (CO₂, CH₄) and natural gas, reducing dependence on fossil fuels and electricity.
- Storage solutions and infrastructure: Discussion on practical hydrogen storage methods at production sites, in vehicles, and fueling stations, supporting industrial and mobility applications.
- Policy roadmap and implementation: Dialogue on scaling up technology in Vietnam, emphasizing public-private partnerships and regulatory frameworks.
