On April 15, 2026, Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural Resources and Environment (HCMUNRE) hosted a reception and working session with Gia Nguyen A.P.T Company. The meeting aimed to strengthen cooperation between the University and the enterprise in the field of media and event organization, while also discussing collaborative plans for implementing a film project that integrates education and raises public awareness about marine environmental protection.

The meeting was conducted in a formal and professional atmosphere, with the participation of the University’s leadership, administrative staff, and faculty members. Attendees included: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hoang Nghiem – Vice Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Thien Tai – Acting Deputy Head of the Office of Science, Technology and International Relations; Dr. Thai Phuong Vu – Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Environment; Dr. Dinh Ngoc Huy – Head of the Department of Marine and Maritime Science under the Faculty of Environment; Dr. Nguyen Thanh Ngan – Lecturer of the Faculty of Environment; Mr. Nguyen Ba Khoa – Manager of the Office of Student Affairs; along with other staff and lecturers of the University.

From the partner side, the meeting was attended by Ms. Ton Nu Phuong Hong (Ms. Hong Ton) – Head of Communications of Gia Nguyen A.P.T Company, serving as the key representative in charge of media and coordination activities. Also present were company members: Huynh Quang Nhat, Truong Thi Minh Phuong, Tran Thanh Thu Thuong, and Tran Thu Trang. The delegation demonstrated professionalism and proactive engagement in discussions and information sharing, thereby strengthening connections and expanding cooperation opportunities between the two parties in event organization and media activities.

During the session, Gia Nguyen A.P.T Company presented an overview of the film project titled “Doraemon the Movie: Nobita and the Castle Under the Sea (New Version),” which focuses on ocean exploration and marine life. The film is scheduled for release on May 22, 2026, distributed by CJ CGV Vietnam Co., Ltd., with Gia Nguyen A.P.T Company responsible for event organization and media activities.
Both parties discussed and agreed on cooperation objectives aimed at disseminating knowledge and positive messages about Vietnam’s seas and oceans; raising public awareness, particularly among children, regarding the conservation of marine environmental resources; and creating experiences that integrate entertainment with scientific education.
Regarding implementation, the University is proposed to provide verified scientific information, materials, and images related to typical marine species, endangered species requiring conservation, and species of high biodiversity value in Vietnam. At the same time, the University will support the scientific validation of the film’s communication content and allow the use of its name and images (University/Faculty) in relevant media, social platforms, and event activities.
On the side of the organizing and distribution units, Gia Nguyen A.P.T Company plans to collaborate with partners to carry out various communication and content introduction activities related to the film’s theme at multiple locations, while appropriately integrating the University’s image and information into communication materials. Both parties also aim to implement communication initiatives to introduce this collaboration in the near future.
In addition, the company initially proposed several forms of support and partnership with the University, including facilitating participation in related events, providing gifts for student activities, considering contributions to scholarship programs, and connecting University representatives with suitable engagement activities.
Within the discussion framework, both sides agreed that this collaboration not only enhances the effectiveness of educational communication but also creates opportunities for students to engage with practical experiences, linking academic knowledge with creative activities and community-oriented media.
At the same time, both parties committed that all collaborative content will ensure scientific accuracy, align with educational orientations, serve the community, and contribute to raising awareness of marine environmental conservation. This is considered an important foundation for long-term and sustainable cooperation in the future.

At the conclusion of the session, both parties expressed their intention to promptly implement the agreed cooperation activities, establish a practical, effective, and long-term partnership, and contribute to promoting educational values, enhancing public awareness, and expanding experiential opportunities for students in the coming period.
