On December 3rd 2025, Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural Resources and Environment (HCMUNRE) solemnly organized a reception and working session with SIFT Analytics Group Vietnam. The meeting was held to strengthen professional exchanges, expand the cooperation network between the University and advanced technology enterprises, and explore solutions to support innovation, improve training quality, scientific research, and digital transformation.

Representatives from HCMUNRE attending the session included: Assoc. Prof. Le Hoang Nghiem – Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Lu Phuong – Vice Head of the Faculty of Environment; Dr. Le Thi Kim Thoa – Deputy Head of Department of Science, Technology Management and External Relations; Dr. Duong Thi Thuy Nga – Head of the Faculty of Information Technology, along with several other University staff members.

During the exchange, representatives from both sides comprehensively presented their capabilities, core strengths, strategic development orientations, and potential cooperation proposals to promote the application of science and technology in training and research. SIFT Analytics Group introduced the SPSS Campus Edition solution, a comprehensive data analysis platform that seamlessly integrates AMOS, R/Python, and advanced AI modules. This solution was assessed as meeting the requirements for innovation and enhancing data analysis capacity in training, scientific research, and academic management at the University.
In addition, SIFT Analytics Group committed to providing HCMUNRE with special preferential offers, standardized training materials, in-depth research datasets, and 24/7 technical support, enabling lecturers and students to access, operate, and optimize the use of statistical and AI analysis tools. Alongside these commitments, the partner emphasized the importance of software copyright compliance, a key factor in enhancing data system security and strongly supporting the University’s faculty in publishing international scientific research in the near future.
In the in-depth discussion, SIFT Analytics Group expressed the desire to widely introduce and regularly update the University on new achievements, advanced features, and outstanding applications of IBM SPSS software technology. These activities are intended to be implemented through multiple support channels for lecturers, students, and researchers at HCMUNRE to improve data analysis capabilities, enhance the application of quantitative research methods, and expand technology application across interdisciplinary scientific fields. SIFT representatives also proposed a software licensing cooperation plan, ensuring the University can access and legally use technological solutions in a stable and effective manner for long-term training and research activities.
Simultaneously, both sides agreed on cooperation directions in organizing academic seminars, scientific conferences, and specialized training programs related to data analysis, statistics, artificial intelligence, and other relevant fields. They also considered implementing academic networking activities with universities, research institutes, and international experts in Southeast Asia to expand the cooperation network, enhance professional exchange, and contribute to the University’s internationalization strategy. These cooperation activities are expected to play an important role in improving training capacity, promoting scientific research, and affirming HCMUNRE’s academic reputation in the context of strong digital transformation and the rapid development of higher education today.

The working session took place in a friendly and cooperative atmosphere, bringing substantial professional value. The University leadership highly appreciated the cooperation potential with SIFT Analytics Group and expected that the collaboration would enhance digital capabilities, improve training and research quality, and provide additional opportunities for HCMUNRE lecturers and students to access modern technology in the near future.
In conclusion, both sides agreed to plan and submit a detailed quotation to the University. SIFT will also provide a trial version for lecturers, students, and researchers to experience and evaluate the software’s effectiveness. After the trial period, the University will compile feedback and send it back to SIFT Analytics Group for further discussion and the development of a suitable cooperation plan in the future.
