MOU Signing Ceremony between HCMUNRE and the College of Food Industries

On the afternoon of April 17, 2025, at Meeting Room A, Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural Resources and Environment (HCMUNRE) hosted a working session with a delegation from the College of Food Industry, marking the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

 The meeting was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Huynh Quyen – President of HCMUNRE, and Assoc. Prof. Le Hoang Nghiem – Vice President, with the participation of representatives from various departments, including: Dr. Huynh Thien Tai – Head of the Department of Science, Technology Management and External Relations, Dr. Vo Thi Tuyet Mai – Deputy Head of Department of Academic Affairs, Dr. Tran Ky – Deputy Head of Department of Academic Affairs, Dr. Thai Phuong Vu – Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Environment, Dr. Tran Thanh Hung – Dean of the Faculty of Land Administration, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Hong Nguyet – Dean of the Faculty of Economic, Dr. Do Minh Tuan – Dean of the Faculty of Geodesy, Cartography and Construction Engineering, MSc. Nguyen Trong Khanh – Director of the Continuing Education Center, along with several other lecturers and staff members from the university.

On the partner side, attendees from the College of Food Industry included Dr. Do Chi Thinh – President and Director of the Campus, MSc. Nguyen Van Duc – Vice President, and Ms. Trinh Thi Huong – Chief of Office.

The two institutions discussed and aligned on several strategic cooperation directions for the future. During the meeting, both parties shared valuable information regarding their respective strengths in training, research, and mutual collaboration needs, resulting in consensus on the following areas of cooperation:

  • Implementation of joint plans in teaching and human resource training, with an emphasis on enhancing professional capacity and supporting faculty and students through exchange programs, internships, sharing of materials, and training experience.
  • Coordination in organizing scientific seminars and academic forums to exchange knowledge, update industry trends, and propose training solutions that meet labor market demands.
  • Agreement on the contents of a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) as a foundation for long-term and effective collaboration.

Additionally, both institutions emphasized:

  • Promoting work-study training models that allow students to gain practical career experience alongside academic learning.
  • Strengthening joint transfer education programs, enabling college graduates to continue their studies at the undergraduate and graduate levels in relevant disciplines, thus sustainably improving workforce qualifications.
  • Collaborating on media and branding efforts via official channels such as websites, fanpages, and publications to enhance the visibility and reputation of both institutions within the education sector.

The meeting took place in a spirit of openness, sincerity, and strong cooperation. Both sides committed to completing the necessary procedures to implement the MoU as soon as possible, aiming for tangible and effective collaborative outcomes in the near future.

The partnership between HCMUNRE and the College of Food Industry is expected to broaden development opportunities, strengthen academic collaboration, and enhance the training of high-quality human resources in support of socio-economic growth and the sustainable protection of natural resources and the environment.
