Scientific Workshop on Hydrogen Applications in Agriculture in Vietnam and ASEAN 2025
Theme: Hydrogen for Sustainable Agriculture — Innovation and Regional Cooperation
Dear Colleagues,
The Vietnam-ASEAN Hydrogen Club (VAHC), Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural Resources and Environment (HCMUNRE), and the Vietnam Agribusiness Club (VAC) are pleased to announce the organization of the Scientific Workshop on Hydrogen Applications in Agriculture, to be held on August 28, 2025, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Introduction
Hydrogen technologies bring transformative potential that goes beyond the energy sector — especially in sustainable agriculture. From hydrogen-enriched fertilizers to soil treatment and crop yield improvement, hydrogen innovations can help address food security challenges and climate resilience. This workshop will highlight pioneering research, pilot projects, and collaboration opportunities to advance hydrogen applications in agriculture in Vietnam and ASEAN.
Objectives

Introduce hydrogen applications in agriculture (e.g., soil health, irrigation, post-harvest preservation).

Foster collaboration between Vietnam/ASEAN agricultural stakeholders and hydrogen technology providers.

Identify pilot project opportunities and financing mechanisms for hydrogen-based agricultural solutions.

Discuss policy frameworks and regional cooperation roadmaps.
